Less Work, More Fun is a product of Redline Contemporary Art Center’s art mentoring program. This installation is a collaboration between Aldinger, the mentoring artist, and Quetzalli Casillas, his mentee. It explores how money can trap people in situations, and open or close doors to opportunities. Being forced to work all the time can shut doors to fun, family, and magic. But without money and work, no one could afford to do the things they enjoy. The installation asks you as the viewer to open the doors and walk the bridge between money and fun, considering how they connect. Do you think either of these worlds could exist without each other? Leave a message to share your secret to balancing work and fun.
