Rooting Together Acrylics, Paper mache, Insulation foam, and Found objects on Mannequins 2024, Permanent install at Children’s Museum of Denver The museum plaque reads: “Rooting Together is an exploration of relationships. Both the relationship between a caregiver and child, and the one between our bodies and the natural world around us. Which parts of your body echo nature? What parts of you were shaped by the adults who raised you? Everyone's roots tell a story, take a moment with your child to look and consider how you are growing together. What's your story?” This sculpture was created in collaboration with museum guests during open studio hours. The children helped paper mache, shape the clay, and paint the tree bark.
